theOscarSite Bio: Born in New York City of Greek and Armenian descent. Entered American television as costume designer for the TV series "Crime Story" (1986). Film costume design credits include LADY BEWARE (1987), ONLY THE STRONG (1993), MIAMI RHAPSODY (1995), THE SUBSTITUTE (1996), BIG CITY BLUES (1999), THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA (2006), SUBURBAN GIRL (2007), SEX AND THE CITY: THE MOVIE (2008), and CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC (scheduled for release in 2009). Field is perhaps better known for her work in television, designing costumes for such popular series as "Spin City", "Sex and the City", "Hope & Faith" and "Ugly Betty".

Field runs her boutique "Patricia Field - Hotel Venus" in the Bowery district in New York City. She is the longtime companion of costume designer Rebecca Weinberg.
