James Marsh

Born in Truro, Cornwall, England. Marsh entered British film as an assistant editor for Caleb Deschanel's CRUSOE (1988). Other assistant or associate editor credits include HOWARDS END (1992) and CARRINGTON (1995). He served as music editor for THE BALLAD OF THE SAD CAFE (1991). Marsh started developing his own films with WISCONSIN DEATH TRIP (1999), which he wrote, produced and directed. He followed this with THE TEAM (a documentary about a homeless soccer team from New York City who travel and compete at the 1st Annual Homeless Soccer World Cup in 2003 in Graz, Austria; 2005), THE KING [A feature in which a troubled man named Elvis (Gael García Bernal), recently discharged from the Navy, goes to Corpus Christi, TX, in search of the father he's never met; also 2005], MAN ON WIRE (2008) and NINETEEN EIGHTY (a feature in which police corruption interferes with the search for a killer in Yorkshire, England; 2009).
