After working as an editor in German television, he began writing episodes for TV series in 1999. His own filmmaking credits as writer/producer/director include GLÜCKLICHES ENDE (HAPPY END, 1999), NOTFALL (EMERGENCY, 2001), DIENST (SERVICE, 2003) and SPIELZEUGLAND (TOYLAND, 2007). Freydank also co-produced DIE LETZTE REISE (2002), executive produced ONE SINGLE MOMENT (2003), and produced the 2008 German TV series "Endlich Samstag!" ("Finally Saturday!", 2008).
