Cary Grant portrays Cole Porter in this biopic about the composer's life from his early days at Yale and in WW I through his successful music career on the stage and the screen. Highlighted by Mary Martin's performance of "My Heart Belongs to Daddy." Although Night and Day claimed to be a biopic on Porter's life, it was full of inaccuracies, such as romanticizing his marriage, which was in truth a marriage of convenience. Michael Curtiz directs this Warner Bros. release. Supporting cast includes Alexis Smith, Monty Wooley, Ginny Simms, Jane Wyman, Eve Arden, Victor Francen, Alan Hale, Dorothy Malone and Sig Ruman.
